Franklin is in Western North Carolina surrounded by the Nantahala
National Forest.
Franklin is well known for it’s gem mining
and it’s
natural beauty of it’s surrounding misty mountains. Well
located, Franklin is right over Georgia’s state line and
about an hour’s drive from Tennessee. There are numerous
trails and natural attractions in Western North Carolina, indicated
in the map here.
Our town has plenty to keep you busy. Please view our Chamber
of Commerce link with information on festivals and special events,
along with local activities. Additionally, there are numerous surrounding
towns with their own style and charm. If you just want to relax,
sit on our porch and hear the rustle of the leaves and enjoy the
sweet fresh air.

on the lower level. Other features include; A/C, ceiling fans throughout,
fully equipped kitchen with microwave & dishwasher, cable TV with VCR/DVD, phone,
fireplace, washer & dryer, iron and base-board
heaters. All linens and towels are provided. One car garage, a
